Kyosho W5184-04 is a genuine pair of 42mm front shock shafts for Kyosho's 1/10 scale off-road dampers. These polished steel shafts stroke through the shock seals and cartridge every time the suspension works, so the surface finish is what determines whether the damper feels plush or harsh. A scored or bent shaft tears seals, leaks oil, and adds stiction that no amount of oil weight tuning will fix, which is why fresh shafts are a standard part of a proper shock rebuild.

The 42mm length is the front shaft size for this chassis family, installing as a direct replacement in the Ultima RB5 and RB6 and the Lazer ZX-5 series, including the SP versions. Kyosho lists them as fitting the W5194V and W5303V shock sets. Swap them in with new seals and fresh oil and the front dampers come back to smooth, consistent action.
