Matte Black PETG

Matte Black PETG has a flat, low-sheen black finish that helps hide layer lines. Use it for electronics housings and covers, camera parts, and display models where glare is a problem. It's one of our two best-selling PETGs. Want a standard finish? See Black PETG.

PETG sits between PLA and ABS. It's durable and impact-resistant like ABS, but you can print it without an enclosure or fume handling. Matte Black PETG is made from virgin Eastman Eastar PETG resin with colorant and an inorganic matte additive only, no fillers.

Printing notes

• PETG bonds very strongly to glass and smooth PEI. Use a release agent such as a glue stick or WELD3D, or the print or the build plate can break when you remove it.
• PETG absorbs moisture. Store it sealed with desiccant, and dry it if you hear popping.
