Piko 35042 G Scale R/C Loco Receiver 5A Pure DC w/ Remote

The Piko 35042 is a G Scale radio-control (R/C) loco receiver that delivers up to 6A peak power (5A continuous duty rating) with a Pure DC output safe for the analog operation mode of most DCC decoders, including the popular Piko 36220 steam sound decoder kit. The receiver board is designed for easy installation inside many G Scale locomotives and measures 3.38 x 2.16 x 1.06 inches (86 x 55 x 27mm).

The 35042 includes two relay-type function contacts for controlling a horn/whistle and bell on a separate sound unit, and its built-in rectifier lets it run on 12-18V AC or 12-24V DC 6A power from onboard batteries or constant track voltage. A mode switch selects the voltage output range, starting at 0.5V for locos without internal voltage-drop circuits or at 6V for decoder-equipped locos, and a wiring access cut-out plus easy screw-terminal connections simplify installation. It offers 8 selectable R/C channels for independent operation or multiple-unit lashups and includes the 35041 Pocket Remote.
