Piko 35227 G Scale R7 Right Manual Switch, 22.5 Degrees

The Piko 35227 is a G Scale right-hand manual switch that turns through 22.5 degrees using the wide R7 geometry, with a diverging radius of 1560mm (61.4 inches) and a diameter of 3120mm (122.8 inches). It carries a built-in light spring mechanism that holds the points where you set them yet still lets a train run through against the points without derailing, so no separate switch machine or manual throw is required to operate it. Hidden jumper wires are fitted to keep electrical contact reliable over the long term.

Like the rest of the Piko G-Track system, the 35227 is built with 100 percent virgin brass rail in Code 332 (0.332 inch high) solid profile, and the ties are molded from ultraviolet-stabilized HDPE for outdoor durability. Each 35227 switch occupies the space of one G600 (600mm) straight section plus a small R5 curve, and it can later be converted to remote control by adding a Piko 35271 switch machine and a controller. The factory-formed push-together rail joiners fit the rail profile tightly and the piece is compatible with most other brands of G scale track.
