The Piko 37443 is a G Scale model of the Deutsche Bahn (DB) Era IV class BR 103 electric locomotive in the eye-catching Lufthansa scheme. This six-axle express engine, item 37443, carries spring-loaded metal single-arm pantographs, which are not wired for overhead pickup, and runs on two 5-pole can-type ball-bearing motors.
The 37443 comes with a digital DCC decoder and sound installed for realistic operation out of the box. It will run on analog DC as well, but the sound features work only on digital DCC. Detailing includes molded and separately applied lights, windshield wipers, handrails, horn, and bumpers, a detailed engine room with engineer figure, operating red and white directional lighting, hard-chrome plated ball-bearing wheels, and hook-and-loop couplers.
