All that is needed is a PC, smartphone, or tablet with a free USB port, making decoder programming approachable even for newcomers. It works across all scales.

With item 56415, modelers can add user-created sound and set its volume, assign functions and sounds to the function keys, and adjust digital parameters such as startup and braking deceleration or motor control. It reads and writes configuration variables individually or in blocks, supports programming on the main track with RailCom or on a programming track with ACK, archives previous decoder settings, and can update decoder firmware, with high-speed sound downloads over the SUSI interface.
