Pro PCTG-CF10 is 3D-Fuel Pro PCTG reinforced with 10% carbon fiber, made in Fargo, North Dakota. Compared with unfilled Pro PCTG it is 122% stronger (tensile strength at break), 246% stiffer and has a 19% higher heat deflection temperature, with a matte, layer-hiding finish. 1.75 mm, 1 kg spools, Midnight Black.
Best for
- Stiff structural parts: brackets, frames, mounts, drone arms, tool holders
- Parts that see more heat than unfilled Pro PCTG can take
- Functional parts that should look finished without sanding or painting
- Garage, shop and outdoor use: the same chemical and UV resistance as Pro PCTG
Not the right choice for
- Printers with a brass nozzle. Carbon fiber is abrasive; use a hardened steel nozzle, 0.4 mm or larger
- Living hinges and snap-fits that flex repeatedly. Choose CF10 for stiffness; choose unfilled Pro PCTG for impact toughness
- Anything that needs a color other than black, or a glossy or transparent finish
Print Settings
- Nozzle: Hardened steel, 0.4 mm or larger
- Nozzle and Bed Temperature: Use the Pro PCTG-CF10 profile for your printer (Bambu Lab A1 Mini, A1, P1P, P1S, P2S, X1C, X1E, H2S, H2D, H2D Pro, H2C). No separate process profile is needed
- Part Cooling: Lower than unfilled Pro PCTG
- Max Volumetric Speed: 6-8 mm³/s on a 0.4 mm nozzle
- Pressure Advance: Calibrate for CF10. The fibers change the value noticeably; do not reuse the Pro PCTG profile
- Drying: 70C for 6-8 hours, or 65C for 8-12 hours if your dryer cannot reach 70C. Fiber-filled filament takes on moisture faster than unfilled Pro PCTG
- Enclosure: Not required
Color: Midnight Black. Matte, layer-hiding finish from the carbon fiber.
Material notes
- Base resin: 3D-Fuel Pro PCTG (Tg 84C, HDT 74C at 0.455 MPa, ASTM D648)
- Reinforcement: 10% carbon fiber
- Abrasive: yes
- Bambu AMS compatible spool. If the extruder skips, reduce feed-path friction; feeding through an AMS adds a motor and often fixes it
