What makes it PLA+
Standard PLA+ is our everyday PLA, made in Fargo, North Dakota:
- 100% virgin NatureWorks Ingeo 4043D, with no fillers or regrind
- ±0.02 mm diameter, measured by multi-axis laser
- Tuned for modern fast printers: 220-250 °C and up to 250 mm/s
- AMS-compatible 1 kg spool and free print profiles
Need parts that take a hit? Step up to Tough Pro PLA+. Printing for outdoors, hot cars or above 55 °C? Choose Pro PCTG.
Print settings
- Nozzle: 220-250 °C. Start at 240 °C on fast printers and 230 °C on slower ones; a generic 200-215 °C PLA profile is too cold.
- Bed: 0-60 °C (60 °C recommended) on smooth or textured PEI, Bambu Cool or High Temp Plate, glass, BuildTak or WhamBam
- Speed: 60-250 mm/s; above about 150 mm/s, raise the temperature
- Cooling: part fan on; no enclosure needed (open the door or lid on enclosed printers)
- Drying: 50 °C for 6-8 hours

Common questions
Does it work in the Bambu AMS? Yes. Our 1 kg spools have been AMS-compatible since October 2023.
How hot can parts get? PLA softens around 55-60 °C, so keep parts out of hot cars and direct sun.
Can I use it as supports for Pro PCTG? Yes, as a breakaway interface on multi-nozzle printers such as the Bambu Lab H2D, H2C, X2D or Prusa XL. Never run PLA and PCTG through the same nozzle.
How long does it keep? Years, sealed and dry. Every spool ships vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
