The Team Associated ASC7740 exhaust manifold connects the engine's exhaust port to the tuned pipe on the RC10GT, in the non-pullstart configuration. The manifold's length and bend are part of how a tuned exhaust system works: they set the timing of the pressure waves returning to the engine, which is what gives a two-stroke nitro engine its power band and its throttle response.
Manifolds take a lot of abuse. They run hot, they sit exposed on the outside of the car, and a crash that lands on the pipe side can crack or distort one. Any leak at the manifold costs power, upsets the tune and can make the engine run lean, so a damaged manifold is worth replacing rather than working around.
This is the factory replacement for non-pullstart RC10GT engines, made to the original specification, so it mates to the stock exhaust port and pipe using your existing springs and hardware with no modification needed.
