This steel CVA axle is the constant-velocity outer axle used in the front steering blocks and rear hubs of Team Associated 1:8 buggies and truggies. A CVA joint transmits power smoothly through steering and suspension travel, reducing binding and vibration compared with a simple dogbone and keeping drive consistent as the wheels move through their arc. Steel construction handles the shock loads of 1:8 racing landings and hard acceleration.
Fitting these CVAs into the standard front steering block and rear hub requires #89162 inner bearings, and different bearing sizes apply when running Factory Team aluminum rear hubs. Fitment covers RC8B3, RC8B3e, RC8T3, RC8T3e, RC8B3.1, RC8B3.1e, RC8T3.1, RC8T3.1e, RC8B3.2, RC8B3.2e, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2e, RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, RC8T4e, RC8B4.1 and RC8B4.1e.
Install it as a direct replacement for a worn, twisted or damaged axle to restore smooth, reliable power delivery to the wheels. Keeping a spare axle in the pit box means a damaged joint after a hard landing does not end your race day.
