Traxxas 3691-BLK Magnum 272 Black Gearbox Halves

The Traxxas 3691-BLK is a left and right pair of gearbox halves for the Magnum 272 transmission, supplied with the idler gear shaft included.

The gearbox halves are the housing that holds the entire transmission together. They locate the shafts, carry the bearings, and set the gear mesh. When a half cracks, the mesh goes out of alignment and the damage spreads fast into the gears themselves, so replacing a compromised housing early is far cheaper than rebuilding a stripped gearset later.

These are the parts you need after a hard impact splits a case, after stripped screw bosses stop holding the halves together properly, or when a rebuild is worth doing on a fresh housing rather than a worn one. Because the idler gear shaft is included, one of the internal components most likely to show wear alongside the housing is covered in the same package.

Important fitment note: these halves fit the Magnum 272 transmission and do not fit the Magnum 272R transmission. Check which unit is in your vehicle before ordering, since the two are not interchangeable.

Supplied as a left and right pair. Genuine Traxxas replacement part.
