Walthers Cornerstone 933-2970 HO Railroad Shop Kit

The Walthers Cornerstone 933-2970 HO scale Railroad Shop recreates the huge shop buildings that formed the heart of a locomotive maintenance complex. The prototypes were built for steam power but were readily upgraded to service diesels in later years. Based on the earlier Cornerstone Backshop kit and sharing many architectural elements, this larger structure can handle almost any motive power and holds locomotives up to 120 scale feet long.

Item 933-2970 leaves room inside for a Heavy-Duty Crane in the main bays and an Overhead Traveling Crane in the annex, both sold separately, and includes interior crane rails and supports. You can build the end wall with optional doors and windows, and kits can be combined to expand the shop. The finished model measures 17-1/8 x 8-3/4 x 8-5/8" (43.4 x 22.2 x 22cm) and looks great alongside the Backshop kit (933-3039).
