The Walthers Cornerstone 933-3085 HO Scale Black Gold Asphalt Hot Mix Plant sits at the receiving end of construction projects across a modern layout, generating a steady flow of car-loadings. Much of the sand and gravel arrives in hoppers carrying loads of up to 100 tons, then gets dumped into nearby storage piles for movement to the mixing bins by wheel loader. Bitumen, the heavy oil that binds the aggregate, ships in insulated tank cars, and the plant's furnace keeps it at the proper temperature for mixing.

This highly detailed 933-3085 kit is complete with oil tanks, two conveyors, a three-bay mixing bin with conveyor, a furnace with ductwork, a rotary mixing kiln, piping, double loading silos, and colorful decal signs. The 933-3085 has also been designed to accept a Seuthe smoke generator (667-117, sold separately) so you can add animation to the plant. Assembled, the model measures 9-3/4 x 14-1/8 x 10-1/2" (24.3 x 35.3 x 26.2cm).
