The Walthers Cornerstone 933-3175 Butterfly-Style Station Platform Shelters are a great addition to the Cornerstone Union Station kit and other passenger depots, with parts for four complete platforms in the package. The platform was the first and last stop for every traveler, with a hard surface for wheeling baggage and mail carts and a roof for protection from the weather.

This 933-3175 kit is based on the Butterfly design, named for its up-swept, wing-shaped roof, which was cheaper to build than other station platform types and provided plenty of ventilation for engine exhaust while sheltering passengers from sun and rain. The modular kit makes building a detailed terminal scene easy, and each section measures 11 x 2-1/8 x 2-1/4" 27.5 x 5.3 x 5.6cm.
