The Walthers Cornerstone 933-3813 Sanding Tower & Drying House is an N scale structure kit for adding realism to steam- and diesel-era locomotive servicing scenes. Because every railroad built its sand facilities to suit local conditions, these structures rarely followed standard plans, and since diesels also needed sand they remained in service long after the last steamer was retired.

Kit 933-3813 fits any busy terminal and includes a brick drying house, a large open storage bin and realistic piping, plus both an early steam-style tower and a larger modern-era tower so you can match your modeling period. Decal signs are included. The early sanding tower measures 1-7/8 x 7/8 x 2-7/8" 4.8 x 2.2 x 7.3cm, the late sanding tower measures 3-1/2 x 3/4 x 4-7/32" 8.9 x 1.9 x 10.7cm, the drying house measures 1-11/16 x 1-13/16" 4.3 x 4.6cm, and the storage bin measures 1-11/16 x 3-1/2" 4.3 x 8.9cm.
