Walthers Cornerstone 933-3819 N Gas Storage Tank Kit

The Walthers Cornerstone 933-3819 Gas Storage Tank is an N scale structure kit that recreates the large tanks once used by city and industrial gas works, a fixture of skylines through much of the 20th century. These facilities stored coal gas or town gas and maintained constant pressure in underground supply pipelines, with movable sections that rose and lowered as demand changed.

The first time an American-prototype gas storage tank has been offered, kit 933-3819 can be built to model either a full or empty tank and features detailed trusses and steelwork. Parts are molded in black plastic, and one or two tanks can suggest a larger plant where space is limited. The tank measures 6-3/8" 16.2cm in diameter by 6-3/8" 16.2cm tall.
