Add variety to your grain-handling scenes with the Walthers Cornerstone 933-3860 Prairie Co-Op Elevator. Based on small-town producer elevators, these four-silo concrete structures often stood tall beside their wooden predecessors or a related feed mill. In service from 1915 to the present day, the Prairie Co-Op received grain by truck and shipped it out in covered hoppers or, during the late steam and classic diesel eras, in grain-door boxcars.
Item 933-3860 includes the silos and headhouse, an unloading shed, truck scales and assorted details to bring a grain siding to life. The square design carries four silos with an off-center head house, a cement block unloading shed and a cement block office with truck scale. Loading spouts serve both boxcars and covered hoppers, and separate parts add a dust collector, vents and a sampling arm. The kit is molded in white, light gray and clear plastic.
Key Features:
- N scale (1:160) structure kit for assembly
