Walthers Cornerstone 933-4048 HO Piggyback Ramps Kit

The Walthers Cornerstone 933-4048 HO scale Piggyback Ramps kit models the trackside ramps used across the continent to drive trailers on and off flatcars. From the 1950s into the 1980s this circus-style loading was common at yards and terminals, and many ramps stayed in place afterward for special loads and team-track work handled by gantry crane.

The 933-4048 includes four ramps, among them a wood platform-and-ramp combination, single and double-wide circus-style trailer ramps in concrete and wood, a small terminal clerk's office, an overhead gantry crane, a wood fence, a power pole and decal signs. Molded in three colors plus clear plastic, the office measures 1-3/4 x 2-1/2" (4.4 x 6.3cm), the wood platform 5-1/2 x 2" (13.9 x 5cm) and the crane 6 x 2" (15 x 5cm).
