The Walthers Cornerstone 933-4064 HO scale Modern Brick Santa Fe Station kit is based on a 1954 Santa Fe design and captures the sleek Midcentury Modern style of depots built in the postwar years. As streamlined trains entered service, the railroad replaced aging stations with efficient new buildings like this one.

Based on the prototype at Hutchinson, Kansas, several depots of this style rose along the Santa Fe mainline, and some still serve Amtrak or have been repurposed as businesses. With detailed brickwork and period details, the easy-to-build 933-4064 is a fitting stop for Santa Fe streamliners and other name trains, and other railroads built similar Midcentury Modern depots too. The finished model measures 21-13/16 x 8-1/16 x 3" (55.5 x 20.4 x 7.6cm), with an optional platform extension of 8-5/8 x 1-1/2 x 5/32" (22 x 3.8 x 0.4cm).
