Walthers Mainline 910-31000 HO 85' Horizon Coach Amtrak Phase III

The Walthers Mainline 910-31000 is an HO scale 85' Horizon Fleet Coach, ready to run in Amtrak Phase III paint with equal-width red, white and blue stripes. Amtrak's Horizon Fleet was based on a design first introduced in the 1970s, and the railroad added 86 coaches along with 18 food service cars in 1989 and 1990 to strengthen its inter-city runs, where the cars can still be found today.

This 910-31000 carries authentic paint and lettering, tinted windows and interior seating, and rides on correct GSI roller bearing trucks fitted with 36" turned metal RP-25 wheels. Factory-installed diaphragms and Proto MAX magnetic metal knuckle couplers are standard, while modeler-installed close-coupling drawbars suit larger curves. Because the model matches the full prototype length and underbody detail, a minimum 24" radius is recommended. Molded starter points accept optional grab irons and mounting points are provided for a separately sold interior lighting kit. Officially licensed by Amtrak.
