Walthers Mainline 910-31100 HO 60' Thrall MHC-2 Amtrak #1550

The Walthers Mainline 910-31100 is an HO scale 60' Thrall Material Handling Car MHC-2, a ready to run model decorated for Amtrak as road number 1550 in Phase III paint with equal-width red, white and blue stripes. Amtrak introduced these Material Handling Cars in 1988 to move baggage, mail and express package traffic, and they ran at the head or tail of many trains until the service ended in 2003.

Based on the MHC II 1500 Series prototypes, the 910-31100 includes factory-applied ladders and a door wheel, a correct diagonal panel roof, and correct GSC trucks fitted with 36" turned metal RP-25 wheelsets. Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers are installed for dependable coupling with the rest of your Amtrak consist. Officially licensed by Amtrak.
