Walthers Mainline 910-3900 HO 57' Mechanical Reefer Undecorated

Move a wide range of perishables across your HO scale layout with the Walthers Mainline 910-3900 57' Mechanical Reefer, supplied undecorated and ready for your own finish. The prototype follows cars built by Pacific Car and Foundry for Pacific Fruit Express and several railroads from 1967 to 1968, which ranged widely serving growing regions, cold storage plants, and regional grocery distributors into the early 2000s.

This ready-to-run 910-3900 is nicely detailed with Keystone or Hydra-Cushion underframe detail as appropriate, short ladders and low hand brakes, and a 9' Youngstown plug door with separate latch bars. An authentic Stanray peaked, ribbed roof carries a capped exhaust stack, and the detailed underbody includes brake gear and fuel tanks. The car rides on 70-ton roller bearing trucks with correct 33" RP-25 turned-metal wheelsets and is fitted with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. As an undecorated car it is ready for custom paint and lettering, and this is a one-time run.
