Walthers Mainline 910-9800 HO EMD SD70ACe - Undecorated

Model modern railroading at an affordable price with the Walthers Mainline 910-9800, an EMD SD70ACe offered undecorated with the low headlight arrangement. One of the backbones of contemporary locomotive fleets, the prototype has been in service since 2005 and remains a common sight on today's main lines. This version is set up as a standard DC locomotive.

The 910-9800 uses the same drive found in Walthers Proto units, with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, 14:1 helical gears, dual machined-brass flywheels, all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, and a heavy die-cast metal chassis, plus a 21-pin DCC plug for easy conversion. LED lighting includes the low headlight per prototype, working front ditch lights, and constant and directional lighting. Fully assembled, it easily handles 18" radius curves (22" or larger recommended), rides on RP-25 metal wheels, and couples with Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers. Molded drill starter points let you add grab irons with the SD70ACe Diesel Detail Kit #910-251 (sold separately).
