Walthers Proto 920-110100 HO Jordan Spreader Kit - Undecorated

The Walthers Proto 920-110100 is an HO scale Jordan Spreader kit, offered undecorated so you can finish it for the road of your choice. One of the most versatile machines a railroad could own, the Jordan grades and shapes drainage ditches in mild weather and switches to plowing and banking back snow once winter sets in. This model is based on the model 2-200 Spreader-Ditcher-Snowplow that saw year-round service on dozens of railroads beginning in the 1920s.

Built from all-new tooling, the 920-110100 makes an ideal companion to Walthers Proto Russell Snowplows (sold separately). It features formed-wire grab irons, a complete underbody with brake gear and piping, thin-profile stirrups and clear cab window glass, plus positionable wings and moldboards that raise and lower. Railroad-specific parts cover horizontal or vertical air reservoirs, several headlight styles and 70-ton roller-bearing or Bettendorf trucks, while durable metal hinges, ultra-smooth-rolling metal axles, 33" wheelsets and Proto MAX metal knuckle couplers complete the build.
