Walthers SceneMaster 949-2601 HO 40' Flexi-Van Illinois Central

Add early intermodal and mail service to your layout with the Walthers SceneMaster 949-2601 Flexi-Van 40' Trailer 2-Pack lettered for Illinois Central with the diamond logo, U.S. Mail lettering and side doors. First introduced in 1958 with removable wheels for specially equipped Flexi-Van flatcars, these trailers were later converted to standard 40' trailers for road and rail use into the 1980s. Both are fully assembled and ready for service.

Item 949-2601 includes two trailers with detailed wheels and bogie with landing gear, and side doors as appropriate for the prototype. Use them as an authentic load for early intermodal flatcars, available separately, or as detail along highways and in terminals.
