Bring the color of early intermodal railroading to your HO scale layout with this Walthers SceneMaster 949-2611 Flexi-Van 40' Trailer 2-Pack, decorated for Pittsburgh & Lake Erie with the yellow NYC logo and Flexi-Van placards. Flexi-Van trailers first appeared in 1958 with removable wheels so the bodies could ride on specially equipped Flexi-Van flatcars, and many were later rebuilt as standard 40' trailers for combined road and rail duty that lasted into the 1980s.
Fully assembled and ready to place, each trailer in the 949-2611 pack rides on a detailed bogie with landing gear and finely rendered wheels, and features end doors as fitted to this prototype. The pair also works as an authentic load for the WalthersMainline G85 (910-5479 series) and other early intermodal flatcars, sold separately.
Key Features:
- HO scale (1:87) Flexi-Van 40' trailer 2-pack from Walthers SceneMaster
- Item number 949-2611, fully assembled and ready to place
