Close awkward gaps in your trackwork without cutting rail using the Walthers Track 948-83091 HO scale Code 83 nickel silver DCC-friendly expandable track. Its adjustable center section extends the overall length from 8-7/8" to 9-3/8" (22.5 to 23.8cm), so you can join two modules or bridge a track gap and simply slide it to fit. It works in place of any standard 9" (22.8cm) straight snap track section.

The 948-83091 uses a center section with special tight-fitting joiners for positive electrical contact and is built tough for repeated adjustments. Cutouts at both ends accept standard rail joiners with no modification needed, and it is compatible with both Code 83 and Code 100 track. Custom formulated nickel silver rail gives outstanding conductivity, while the ties are molded in realistic dark brown with enhanced wood grain detail.
