LIONEL BUMPER

The Track Bumper No. 26 was the predicessor of the more readily available No. 260.

Produced between 1948 and 1950, this bumper is recognizable because of its unpainted aluminum metal bumper. Uses a L363 bayonet-base lamp, and it was only produced with wide feet so these bumpers will not fit between the ties of "Super-O" track. Enclosed with this bumper was instruction sheet No. 26-18. Pictured below is this sheet dated 4-50.

There are two variations:

Variation A: GRAY painted bumper. This variation is hard to find. 1948 production.

Variation B: RED painted bumper. 1949-50 production.
